Please note the new site location. Due to construction of the new Giants Stadium we had to move the event for 2010. Fairleigh Dickinson University has graciously agreed to host this official 6-on-6 flag football tournament with light-blocking on their two fields on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Both the Competitive Division and Recreation Division teams will play on the same day with a Champion Winner being declared for each Division.
Teams are allowed up to 15 players and all must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Game field size is 20 yards x 40 yards with each team guaranteed three games. (For rules and more detailed game information please click here) Food and changing rooms are provided for all players. Enter the raffle to win signed New York Football Giants merchandise on the day of the tournament.
All proceeds collected by the flag football teams benefit Special Olympics New Jersey athletes and help foster the Special Olympics mission:
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
In its fourth year, the Snow Bowl has raised more than $100,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey. The success of this event directly helps more than 21,000 athletes who train and compete free-of-charge, year-round in 24 Olympic–type sports.
